Appearance
Chaiz has:
Wavy brown hair and a rugged jaw.
Strong bulky muscles obtained through hard work, mastery of boxing and fighting sports.
An imposing presence. He is 8 foot 1.
Dresses in muted, plain clothes. Usually blues, blacks, greys, white and sometimes tan.
Position
Fixer in the Magaus Alliance - Formally known as the Grand Magaus of the Magaus Alliance.
Magic abilities
Master of Illusion Magic, Nominal powers in Sound Magic, part Master of Elemental Magic, Master of Interpersonal Magic, Mid range abilities in Evocation Magic.
Parents
Elected regents of the Frostvale sphere. Owin and Miriyelli. Mother died when Chaiz was 20, Owin remarried Elirina.
Siblings
Older brother Barin (42), twin Rewo (deceased), sister Loneri (34) - Step sister Chloe (7) - Cousin Aidan (32) brought up with Chaiz.
First Appearance
Appears towards the the middle of the novel.
Chaiz’s Life
At the age of 7 Chaiz’s magical powers started. He was assessed and trained by the local magical authority,who felt he would have exceptional powers, and that he should use his abilities in some capacity in the work force.
Chaiz started at the age of 8 to work with the Magaus Alliance. He had already finished his standard exams, and chose to go on to professional learning both in person with the alliance, and through vid communication with various professional schools. While learning the basics of magic, Chaiz learnt physics, monetary explorations, architecture and building, engineering, and history. He especially was interested in the ancient history of magic, magicians and magical places.
Chaiz’s father, Owin, initially wanted Chaiz to work with him. His original goal was to get Chaiz to eventually use his intellect and magic to lead Frostvale after he retired. Orin’s wife, Miriyelli, saw the stress her son was putting on himself, and required him to study music on his free day. She felt it would help calm him.
Chaiz rose through the ranks of the Magaus Alliance very quickly. His exploits are renowned throughout the universe and he is known for being the individual who saved 100 men in the War of Coji himself.
Power & Magic
Primary Abilities
Magic - Master of Illusion Magic, Nominal powers in Sound Magic, part Master of Elemental Magic, Master of Interpersonal Magic, Mid range abilities in Evocation Magic. Chaiz has studied elements of magic from most of the 13 keys.
Intelligence - Within the top 10% of individuals with high intellect in the universe. Because of this, he belongs to many think tanks on a variety of topics in the scientific community.
Compassion and understanding - Chaiz is known throughout the magical community for his compassion with all. Tries to understand everyone’s actions and opinions before he makes decisions. The people under his command are treated well. Kindness is important to him.
Secondary Traits
Music - Chaiz is a prodigy on the piano. He can sing and compose music, but doesn’t want others to know.
Humor - Chaiz has a strong, unique sense of humor. He is known to pull pranks on his friends. Chaiz will switch to being serious quickly when needed.
Limitations
Chaiz has a condition where he grows too quickly. He has reached the height of 8 feet one and towers over others. Without daily medication he will continue to grow and put extensive strain on his heart.
He tends to be overly conscious when dealing with the people who works for him in showing his true self. He falsely believes that in order to be respected by them, he has to act strict and remain distant.
Chaiz had an awful anger problem when he was younger. He often exploded and destroyed things. Chaiz has worked on routines of magic to quiet his anger. He has also practiced keeping calm with the people he works with.
Chaiz hates to be the center of attention, awards and praise. This can be a problem as at times people who have much less skill, but much more confidence, have surpassed him in competitions, awards and opportunities in many areas of life.
