The Three Magics of MidSummer
Sky Shards, Skywater & Aurora Dew
As the summer begins to fade and the days grow colder on Erudus, moons, aurora and sun react and create three strange, but potent forms of magic.
Sky Shards
The first event is when a midsummer grouping of sky shards fall over the mountains. These shards are unique in that they fall and stay warm for several brights (days) on the ground. Travelers in the mountains use them instead of fire to stay warm. But masters of magic can use them in charms and potions, which help with renewal, courage and new beginnings
.
Skywater
After two brights (days) the shards begin to cool. This is the time that their magic is at its fullest.
During this time masters can take one of the midsummer sky shards and place it in a stone vessel. When water from the charming waters region is added, and it is left in the full sun, it changes. When the water becomes a purple-cobalt it has significant magical properties. The water is stored and is later used to help with strength, protective and restorative spells
Skyveil Dew
Following the fall of the Sky Shards the aurora brightens and becomes unusually vibrant. When dew is collected the following morning after the aurora, it has traces of star and aurora magic. The water is used by masters in spells that reveal dreams, hidden pathways and the veil.
The Merging Waters
When the sky shards, the sky water and the skyveil dew are put together, they create the Merging Waters. This magical potion allows a master to create a spell that cannot be made using any other magical materials. The potion reveals to the master something that the individual needs to find, without knowing it. This is something that they do not know how to seek.
A master may use the potion to ask where she should go? She might also ask which path is mine and what have I overlooked.
The Merging Waters can be dangerous to beings who have not achieved a high level of mastery. If the master does not have enough power the merging waters can provide false information. Information that in some cases has been deadly

Jynx’s Note
Gather the shards. Sink the shards in the Charming Waters. When the dew comes then the summer will reveal great magic on Erudus.
