Elemental Magic - The Wolffbound family
Status
The seventh key, Elemental Magic, and descendants of the seventh magical family, is active.
Why the Wolffbound’s?
Chaiz Wolffbound was an architect in his home community. He met Ember when he was working on building a star scope in his home town.
Ember’s father was a merchant dealing mostly in building materials. He went to Thumgala to negotiate a deal with the Kilgerat. The Kilgerat wanted to buy a large amount of combustible materials. Ember’s father had no idea that the Kilgerat intended to use the material to destroy a dam on Milko. They wanted to take the Milkoans land. This was the easiest way for the Kilgerat to kill thousands and to force the rest out.
Ember’s father discovered what they wanted to use these materials for harm and refused to provide them to the Kilgerat. He was then executed by the Kilgerat’s henchmen. Ember went to Thumgala to retrieve his body and Chaiz went with her. They were on the planet when the great uprising occurred.
When the bacteria came Chaiz survived easily. Ember barely survived and took years to recover.
Chaiz’s mind adapted and he became a master of water and soil. Chaiz became an advocate for the development of the Magaus Alliance and worked hard to create it.
Instead of joining the Alliance, he became involved in politics in his home community. The Wolffbound family became very important in the politics of the Crescent Bow Quadrant Region. Chaiz and Ember’s descendants would become the elected regents of the area.

Most Important Accomplishments By the Family
Chaiz Wolffbound helped to develop the Magaus Alliance. He worked with the political parties of the Crescent Bow to improve security and relations in the region. He was also the individual who set into motion, the events that would eventually lead to Cedran and Zephrya’s election to become the regents of the region.
Elara worked with many communities helping to stop flooding in the Crescent Bow Region. They rebuilt homes after devastation. Elara spent much of her free time exploring and studying the communities she worked in. She rediscovered the Cascade Amulet, one of the five Ember Charms created by the great dwarvish Sparkborn Clan.
River was the first of the Wolffbound family to be assessed as a genius. While she did help the Magaus Alliance with climate predictions occasionally, her main focus was on health and nutrition.
Chaiz III became a full time member of the Magaus Alliance at 8 after exhibiting extraordinary powers early. He was also assessed at this time as having an IQ in the genius range. The combination of his powers and IQ has lead Chaiz to move up the ranks in the Magaus Alliance quickly. He became the youngest leader in the bi-universe, when he was given a leadership position at the age of 22.

Flane was stillborn. Doctors believed that her death was attributed to the bacteria that affected Ember at Thumgala.
Zephrya died at the age of 40 from an infection after surgery for a ruptured spleen. She received this injury in an attempted coup, when insurgents used a sound weapon on the head council. Cedran was not hurt.
Rowan, Chaiz III’s twin brother, traveled to the outer regions of the universe with Chaiz’s girlfriend, Liandra. Liandra and Rowan were exposed to an illness which could not be cured. It took almost a year to kill them. Rowan’s betrayal of his twin and his death had major implications for the politics of the Crescent Bow. The Wolffbound family’s happiness, and his twins approach to life, love and family was affected. The implications are still being felt at the time of the story.
Relationships to the other magical families of the top 13
Because of the family’s involvement with politics, and the creation of the Magaus Alliance, over time the Wolffbound family has been friends with family members of all of the 13 keys.
They have been especially good friends with the Stonewich family (Key 8) for many years. Chaiz Wolffbound III now works with Elon Stonehenge to co-head the Magaus Alliance.
