Last Saturday, Angelika and Jynx came to visit so that they kept out of Keefee’s way. Angelika was “helping” and Keefee and Serai’s cook room exploded. Yesterday, just as I was taking Barrow and Spirit for their morning walk, Angelika and Jynx came through Barrow’s hole to visit again. Apparently, the repairs are a little more extensive than anyone thought, and Serai is not happy.
This week, when Angelika came, she brought Moontide flowers and a little company. At least that’s what Jynx thinks.
Small blinking lights have started appearing near the bushes at the side of our house. Angelika says that they’re Aurora Wisps, they’ve started a swarm, and already chosen a High Imp.
We went to visit and the High Imp demanded that I build a location for their sky shards, and of course a place for her to sit and watch Earth’s Aurora.
Wisps are tiny, floating supernatural lights that inhabit low areas all over Erudus. The Erudian ancestors say that they are echoes of children who died far too soon, and have remained on Erudus indefinitely.
Aurora Wisps are curious and playful. If they like you they will follow you, sing to you, and light your way in the darkness. Unfortunately, they will steal and hide things, and if they really want something, they will use their magic to enter your mind.
According to Angelika., wisps are brightly coloured. They live together in grass, bushes and trees. Wherever they go they light up areas with their glow, particularly around their swarm home, where the lights are concentrated.
I took several of my outdoor, multi-colour Christmas lights and threaded them through the trees and bushes at the side of the house. I added a few solar bugs, and a small string of green spider lights.
I had some left over tile, so I used some of my acrylic paints to paint these signs.
The Examination
After Dark
As the sun went down in Northwestern Ontario a the bushes on part of my house transformed with light.
AND THAT’S HOW ERUDUS GREW A LITTLE LARGER.
The wisps have settled which means more work for me. They have something called a Glow Pod that looks like a weird pumpkin. So, guess what? I’m painting pumpkins.
