October is always a special time of year in Northwestern Ontario. The leaves turn yellow, the nights turn cold, and bonfires fill the air with the smell of char.
On Erudus, the Celebration of Spirits occurs. But this October, something unusual is happening. Before the month approaches, here is a glimpse of what is to come.

When yellow leaves fall on frosty ground
and bonfires rise high beneath the stars,
when Earth remembers the dead
and Erudus celebrates the lifeless,
the spirits awaken.
October is coming.
It brings
stories whispered under the aurora,
ancient legends told by the hearth,
recipes and potions floating through the gate,
and the lore of the celebration
that welcomes those who came before.
Not every whisper will be gentle.
There is an older side to magic.
A darker side.
A side built upon suffering.
And as Hallows Eve approaches,
the spirits may wander near Earth,
close enough for the veil to shudder.
Strange transformations
are happening in the night.
Wisps are dancing.
Sky shard trails are glowing.
Dragons are rising.
The Veil is forming through the mist.
Fragment by fragment,
Erudus is floating Earthside.
The Celebration of Spirits is drawing near.
