The Incident
Jynx slept on me again. We were at the First Leaf Festival and Lucietan, Arboria’s chief council, honored me by blowing paint dust on my face. While I was mopping the mix out of my eyes Jynx ambled over. He circled me and then dropped onto my favorite purple cloak, shredding some of the fabric with his sharp claws, laying down and snoring.

Jynx stirred and stretched his long legs, but he did not awake.
Jynx, get off!
One blue eye opened and looked at me. Jynx comfortable. No move!
Apparently, my objection qualified him to write a guide about napping.

I fell over him yesterday getting up from the fire. I loved that cloak.
Sleeping place appear. Must not prepare.

Sun important. Must find sun patch,
The mountains are cold and Jynx seems to believe that he owns all the warm sunny patches of light. He’ll sit on me if I’m sitting in a bright spot. He wrote to Keefee demanding a deed to the sun.
One eye rest. Two eyes napping.
Jynx sleep. Ears not.
The ears may be awake, but they aren’t listening.
Naps require snack.
Most safe have snack before and after sleep.
Jynx thinks that every activity requires a snack!

Jynx nap. Lykie no.
Lykie no sleep if Jynx awake. Jynx need entertainment.
Jynx safest beside Lykie.

Jynx you know you don’t have to sleep by me every time.
