Home to dragons, magic, strong women and other fantastical things!
Hello and welcome to The Wanderer Between Worlds. I am an author and a creative person.
Who I am
I am a fantasy writer from Northern Ontario. I write about magic, dragons, and strong women, facing trauma with courage and spunk. I have studied creative writing over the years, and I am currently a member of NOWW (Northern Ontario Writer’s Workshop).
I love being transported to other worlds while I read. I enjoy mystery, fantasy, science fiction, and mystery. I have several favorite writers from different genres. I enjoy books from Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Ursula K Le Guin, Lewis Carroll, Sue Grafton, Louise Penny and others. I read most genres except horror.
When I was young, I started writing about magic, fantastical creatures and far away places. I wrote stories for children and for young adults, but recently I returned to writing fantasy and mystery for adults. I am currently working on concepts for both.
My main fantastical text is currently titled When the Magic Comes. You will find this work described here.
In my spare time I enjoy all kinds of art. I work on pottery, painting, and recently have started to learn the guitar and piano.
My Dogs
My three dogs are pictured below. The one at the top is Jessie. She was a kind, gentle soul, who just wanted to be where I was. Unfortunately, she died late last in 2025, and I really miss her.
The middle dog is Barrow. Barrow has high energy, and demands attention. He’s always up for fun, and loves all humans.
The bottom puppy, Spirit, is a recent addition to our home. She is fun, full of spunk and loves to be outside.
My canine friends have journeyed with me around my lovely community, and have been my constant companions. You will find Barrow’s spunk Spirit’s vitality and Jessie’s kindness are the basis for my many of my notes. They are also the basis for the character “Jynx”.
My World
The images below were taken by me. Most are taken near my home.
Northern Ontario is a unique and beautiful. It’s from here that I write my stories. The landscape, and the wonderful people of this region, affect how I see the world and myself.

Living in a northern community, I am surrounded by nature, and I love the outdoors. Stepping outside with my dogs , Barrow and Spirit, we have encountered deer, bear, rabbits and woodpeckers. Apparently, there is a lynx here, but I have not yet seen it.
I hope that you will find something to enjoy in these pages, and find my words valuable.
Until we talk virtually, when you look up to the sky, may it fill your soul with mystery, wonder and joy.
